Piercing Thoughts (As in.. jewelry)

So, those of you who are friends with me enough to watch me on dA probably already know about my multitude of piercings. But now.. I come to an impasse. Soon, I go off into Basic Training for the Air Force and I know I won't be able to keep them in(maybe, MAYBE the hood, but definitely not the nips). I love the way they look, and feel, but I'm starting to think about taking them out even earlier than I have to.

Ugh. I don't know what I want to do, I love them, and I know I have to take them out. Then begs the questions... Do I get them redone? Honestly, I don't think I could. Hood maybe, since it only hurt for like.. the smallest amount of time ever, but nipples take soooo long to heal and really, really hurt. And then remain sore. The hood doesn't. so do I leave them in and enjoy them while I can or just say "Nice ride, guys" and ditch out early?

Have any of you out there had piercings that you let close then decided to redo? Do you have any that you miss but are too...blanched by the thought of doing them again? Have any of you gone through basic training and have stories about yourself(or others) who were able to sneak it by, or at least tried? Discuss.
